[Historia de la guerra de Granada : Spain] : ms., [ca. 1600].

A copy of the well-known work Guerra de Granada by Diego Hurtado de Mendoza (1503-1575), the noted novelist, poet, diplomat and historian. Text is incomplete and there is a note in a later hand at the end that indicates the printed text is longer: "La impresa tiene mas." Chapters and books are left unnumbered this version. When compared with the edition of Guerra de Granada (Lisbon, Giraldo de Viña, 1627, cf. Palau 117245), which ends at p. 127, book IV, chapter 19, this text runs until chapter 15 of book IV, p. 124 (cf. Cortijo).

1 v. ([53] leaves) : paper ; 31 x 21 cm.
